Performance Paco Cao The Asturian Paco Cao, Doctor of Art History, works with art performances based on the use of his own body and his calling for spectator participation. In his work, "Paco Cao Rent-a-Body", the body was rented for the purpose of being insulted on the streets of Manhattan, as much as for being the subject of a crucifixion in a Lutheran church.
In ART FUTURA '99, Cao, who presents his work, "The City of God II", will
remain confined in a 4 x 4 square meter room for three days, 24 hours
per day. His only means of communication will be electronic. The spectator
forms part of the work and Cao solicits his complicity, comments, suggestions,
